our story.

Parenting can be a beautiful journey, but it can also feel isolating at times. We all want to maintain connections with our friends, enjoy adult conversations, and savor a good cup of coffee or a meal. However, let's face it, taking young children to traditional restaurants or coffee shops isn't always a stress-free experience. Expecting our little ones to sit still, wait patiently, and follow the rules is often unrealistic and not developmentally appropriate.

And let's not forget those trips to museums with other families – an admirable idea, but in practice, it can sometimes feel like herding cats. Kids have their own thoughts and opinions, usually wanting to explore in different directions, while parents struggle to engage in meaningful conversation. It's not exactly the quality time we hoped for, right?

So, where does that leave us? Often, it means retreating to each other's houses, where the kids are comfortable, and adults can finally unwind. But sometimes, we crave a few hours out of the house, a chance to connect with others, and then return to our home base feeling rejuvenated.

That's where Wonder comes into the picture – a haven for both adults and children. I invite you to step into our whimsical world, where every corner is an opportunity for adventure, and every sip is a moment of joy. Together, let's create beautiful moments, one cup at a time.

Meet the Team

Katie Oestreich
Co-founder

From an early age, I held a steadfast vision of my future - one that revolved around motherhood and guiding children's growth. Envisioning myself in the traditional role of an elementary school teacher, I pursued my dream. Graduating from Marian University, armed with a degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education, I embarked into the world.

Life, it seems, had its own plans. After a few years as a traditional educator and then the birth of our first child, I found myself not within the confines of a school classroom, but at the heart of our own household, embracing the role of a homeschool mama to three incredible children.

My conviction that children thrive through immersive experiences and the magic of play only grew stronger. For years, an idea simmered in the background - a dream of a haven where children and parents could come together, forging connections, and making memories.

Through the years, I've come to understand that it truly takes a village to raise a child. Yet, often overlooked, is the necessity of a village to uplift and support the parents. Enter WONDER - a haven of warmth and welcome, a sanctuary where parents and caregivers converge. Here, in the heart of this space, connections flourish, support is abundant, and my beloved iced latte is forever on offer.

As I navigate the intricate dance of motherhood, entrepreneurship, and life's delightful unpredictability, my story continues to unfold. Join me at WONDER, where dreams find their home and connections are woven into the fabric of our journey.

tristin holzmann
co-founder

I am Tristin Holzmann, a beacon of creativity, driven by an unwavering passion for community and artistic expression. My journey began with a dual major in Dance and Arts Management, where I gained a deep appreciation for the arts and a keen understanding of organizational dynamics.

My career path initially led me to the non-profit arts sector, where I served as an administrative manager and later as a marketing director. In these roles, I honed my skills in developing art programming and events, curating dynamic art shows, and navigating the complexities of grant writing and marketing strategy.

Despite my successes, I found myself at a crossroads, grappling with burnout and a yearning for greater fulfillment. It was during this time that I realized the need for a new direction—one guided by my heart's calling and fueled by boundless creativity.

For me, Wonder is more than just a business venture; it's a testament to my belief in the power of community and the ability of art to inspire and uplift. I believe that a simple cup of coffee has the power to spark meaningful conversations, while a playful corner can ignite the imaginations of young and old alike.

I invite you to experience the magic of Wonder—a space where creativity knows no bounds and community thrives.
